Varun Dhawan said that while he was excited about the release of Jugjugg Jeeyo, he was not tense about the release. The comedy-drama that also features Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor was released on June 24. Ever since its release, the film has remained steady on the national chain. As per reports, the film remains weak outside meteors and fared well in Delhi NCR and Punjab.
While talking to the media at a press conference in Kolkata, Varun said that he doesn’t want to be tense with the release. Recalling the pandemic period, the actor said, “We all have been through pandemic and we all lost someone in Covid. The course of life has changed for all of us. I am just grateful to God that we are getting a chance to do what we used to do. I am grateful that we can sit together, go out and eat together. We did not even know if this time was supposed to come back or not.”
Varun wishes to restart his life on a different note. Talking about whether he was nervous about the release, he said that he had faith in the audience. “God, doctors and scientists have given us the chance to socialise again and restart our lives. I want to restart it on a different note. I don’t want to go back to that unnecessary trivial tension. I have full faith in my audience and I believe that they will give me love like they always do,” he said.
Varun also said that despite social media and alienation, human beings love to live life with people. “In the age of social media, we feel that people are becoming a little individualistic. But human beings are social animals. People love to live in a group. I don’t think this will ever change,” said the actor.
