Varun Dhawan hints at being a part of Thama; is it desi Twilight with Bhediya, the Vampire and his lover?

The teaser of Ayushmann Khurrana-Rashmika Mandanna starrer Thama was unveiled a while back and although the star cast of the film was announced, Varun Dhawan dropped a major hint that he is a part of the movie which was originally Vampires of Vijaynagar. Even though Thama is piquing people's curiosity now, there are many times when Varun teased us about the rise of Vampires, and it was not always out in the open. Varun, in the role of Bhediya, might have just teased a Hindi version of Twilight. The makers further added fuel by tagging Thama as a 'bloody' love story. Varun Dhawan teases he's a part of Thama

Varun Dhawan shared the teaser of Thama as his Instagram story. "Swagat hai Thama but beware of (warewolf emoticon)," he wrote, clearly hinting at a war between the two.

This is not unusual, since Bhediya had picked up a fight twice during his term in Stree Universe. With Bhediya, Varun's Bhediya told his friend Jana (Abhishek Banerjee) that he observed something that looked like a bat. We now know why Bhediya ran behind this 'bat-looking' object (it was probably the vampire). Not just that, Stree 2 ended with a tease about Vampires. Varun's Bhediya, once again, tells Jana that Delhi is full of Vampires at this point. This was a clear hint at Ayushmann Khurrana's entry as a vampire into the Maddock Supernatural Universe.

Is desi Twilight what Maddock Supernatural Universe looks at?

The teaser unveiled talks about a 'bloody' love story. Follow it up with Varun's hint and of course, a woman in the bargain (played by Rashmika) and we have ourselves the desi version of Twilight. Of course, the vampire won then and the vampire will (most probably) win here.

Bhediya vs Thama

Bhediya introduced a normal-looking man who has no idea what happens to it at the strike of dawn. This human transforms into a werewolf and comes back as a human with no memories from his time as a werewolf. Of course, like vampires, this werewolf hunts for the blood of humans. Both survive with the help of human blood, and they're both active at dawn. Thus, they share an eternal enmity in trying to prove who is more powerful among them. This enmity is likely to continue with Thama, from what we understand.
