Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor to create 'Bawaal' onscreen in Nitesh Tiwari directorial

As reported earlier, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor are finally uniting for the first time on the big screen. The actors will be seen in Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming directorial titled Bawaal. Varun took to his social media pages and made the announcement with a poster. The forthcoming project is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his home banner, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

While making the announcement, Varun wrote on his Instagram post, "Ab hoga #BAWAAL! I am so excited and grateful to announce my next with the amazing duo, #SajidNadiadwala & @niteshtiwari22, along with @janhvikapoor. I can't wait to see you in theaters on April 7th, 2023. #goodfriday @wardakhannadiadwala @nadiadwalagrandson @earthskynotes."

Along with the title, the release date for Bawaal has also been announced. The film will hit the theatres on April 7, 2023, on Good Friday.

Though the makers have kept the project's details under wraps, the big announcement is exciting enough for Varun and Janhvi fans who can't wait to see the two young superstars sizzle on the big screen together soon in a love story in which you can't expect anything less than maximum fun and entertainment.

Varun's next film, Jug Jugg Jeeyo, is a comedy-drama directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta. Along with Prajakta Koli and Maniesh Paul, the film stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, and Kiara Advani in prominent roles. The film will be released on June 24, 2022.

Bhediya is a comedic horror film directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan and starring Varun and Kriti Sanon. Vijan's horror-comedy universe continues with the third instalment. Bhediya will be released in theatres globally on November 25, 2022.

Good Luck Jerry, a black comedy crime film directed by Sidharth Sengupta and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah and Aanand L. Rai, is Janhvi's forthcoming feature. Deepak Dobriyal, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood, and Sushant Singh all play key roles in the film. It's a remake of Kolamaavu Kokila, a Tamil film (2018). The film is likely to be released on Disney+ Hotstar.
