Varun Dhawan and Atlee's film gets a title! Baby John teaser to be out on THIS date

Varun Dhawan had quite the year 2023 after his film Bawaal became the year's most-watched over-the-top film. In 2023, Atlee also had a smash hit with Jawan, which starred Shah Rukh Khan. This year, they've teamed up for an intriguing action entertainer that doubles as Atlee's debut feature film production. Reports suggest that the film's title is Baby John, after its working title, VD18. 

Teaser certification

As per reports in Bollywood Hungama, the film's producers received the teaser's censor certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on Wednesday. Word about its unusual and entertaining title began to circulate at that point. There have been rumours circulating that Baby John's teaser will be revealed soon, likely on January 27.

Among the other stars of Baby John are Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jackie Shroff. The film's producers are Kalees, Atlee, and Priya Atlee of Apple Studios, Cine1 Studios' Murad Khetani, and Jio Studios' Jyoti Deshpande. Vijay, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Amy Jackson star in the 2016 film Theri, directed by Atlee.

Filming journey and release date confirmation

The film began filming in Mumbai in August of last year and then had a jam-packed schedule in Kochi. There have been rumours that Varun hurt himself while practising in Mumbai. Since this is Varun's first appearance in a fully fleshed-out action role, the casting is noteworthy. Keerthy Suresh, in the meantime, is well-known even in Hindi-speaking regions; this is her first film in Bollywood. But in 2023, Wamiqa Gabbi's web series Jubilee and OTT film Khufiya were huge hits, sending her into a frenzy.

A glimpse of the mahurat ceremony was shared by the team a couple of weeks ago. In addition, the team confirmed that Baby John will hit the big screen in May 2024. This will be Varun's big screen release after his 2022 hit, Bhediya.
