Vineeth Sreenivasan, the multi-faceted talent, is now set to release his new directorial venture, Varshangalkku Shesham. The movie, which marks the actor-filmmaker's second collaboration with Pranav Mohanlal, has been slated to hit the big screens on April 11, 2024. Dhyan Sreenivasan appears in a key role in the film, which features a stellar star cast. Meanwhile, in a recent interview, director Vineeth Sreenivasan revealed that he had approached Leo director Lokesh Kanagaraj to play a key role in Varshangalkku Shesham.

Interestingly, in a recent interview with a leading Malayalam media, Vineeth Sreenivasan revealed that he wanted to cast popular director Lokesh Kanagaraj in a key role in Varshangalkku Shesham. According to the multi-faceted talent, he wanted a Tamil-speaking actor with a calm demeanor to play a particular character in the movie. Vineeth, who felt that the Leo director was a perfect choice for the role, offered him the film through some of their common friends.

However, Lokesh Kanagaraj turned down the offer, as he is extremely busy with his committed projects. However, later in the discussions, producer Visakh Subramaniam suggested Kalesh Ramanand, who played the role of Selva in the director’s previous outing Hridayam, for the role. Vineeth Sreenivasan, who felt that Kalesh, who is a highly talented actor, immediately cast him in the role. The actor’s exceptional camaraderie with leading man Pranav Mohanlal was also one of the contributing factors in his casting. However, the Malayalam cine-goers are now eagerly waiting for the first collaboration of Vineeth Sreenivasan, and Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Varshangalkku Shesham to unfold in two different timelines
As reported earlier, Varshangalkku Shesham is set in two different timelines – the Madras City of the 1970s, and the present. Interestingly, the movie, which travels through the evolution of the Malayalam film industry, features both Pranav Mohanlal and Dhyan Sreenivasan, in multiple get-ups. Kalyani Priyadarshan, the leading lady is expected to appear in the portions of the film set in the 1970s. The rest of the star cast, including Nivin Pauly, Basil Joseph, Neeraj Madhav, and others are appearing in the present portions.
