​Varisu, Suriya42 to Thunivu: Five updates fans are eagerly awaiting this Diwali

With Diwali just around the corner, the festivities have already begun for Tamil cinema fans with Karthi's Sardar and Sivakarthikeyan's Prince, setting the ball rolling. Both films were released on October 21 and the fireworks have already begun. In the meantime, fans are awaiting a few big updates on the occasion of Diwali. Here are a few of them

Varisu First Single
A social media post by the music composer Thaman, who is scoring the music for Vijay's Varisu, hinted that the film's first single might likely release on Diwali. Later, during the promotions of Sivakarthikeyan's Diwali release, Prince Thaman almost confirmed the announcement of the single, when he stated that Varisu cinematographer was busy shooting a song from the film for Diwali. However, there has been no official announcement about the release. Interestingly, this will be Thaman's very first song for Thalapathy.

Thunivu new poster along with the exact release Date
Speculations are rife that Ajith's Thunivu is all set to take on Vijay's Varisu on Pongal 2023. The team had already completed the shooting, except for some minor patchwork, and if all goes as planned, the film will be ready for release on Pongal. Though the team has released two looks of Ajith from the film, fans are eagerly awaiting another poster and the exact release date.

Chiyaan61 first look
As Chiyaan Vikram has begun working on Pa Ranjith's upcoming mega project, which is tentatively being referred to as Chiyaan61, expectations have soared from the film. The team had recently conducted a look test on the actor before the shoot, and fans are hoping that the makers reveal Vikram's look from the film, which is set in the pre-independence era in the Kolar Gold Field.

Suriya42 title and first look
The first look video of Suriya42 helmed by Siva had come as a huge surprise for Suriya fans. The actor is seen as a warrior ready to battle against his enemies in the video. However, Suriya's look wasn't revealed in the same. Suriya's anbaana fans hope that the team will reveal the actor's look on the occasion of Diwali. The film is a pan-India project releasing in multiple languages.

Silambarasan's Pathu Thala teaser
Silambarasan had recently wrapped up his work on his long-delayed project Pathu Thala helmed by Obeli N Krishna. The film, which is a remake of the Kannada film, Mufti, is gearing up to hit screens on December 14 and fans are expecting to see the teaser from the film.
