Actor Shaam is all set to begin shooting for his next. This yet-to-be-titled movie, is a children-centric film and will be helmed by M Bharathi Ganesh. Besides writing the story, Bharathi Ganesh has penned the screenplay and dialogues for the film as well. Set against the backdrop of Chennai, the story revolves around kids of the 5G Generation, their emotions, intelligence and lifestyle.


Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja is composing music, MS Prabhu is handling cinematography and Nagoor Ramachandran is overseeing editing works. The shoot for the film will begin on June 2, which also marks the 80th birthday of the maestro.

The supporting cast includes Radharavi, Santhana Bharathi, Thirukumaran, Ajay, Yashika Yash, Eeswari , Jasper, Manirathnam, Manasvi Kottachi, Viswanathan Prabhakaran, Shivani Harikumar, Rockstar Kamalesh, Aarvan Vetri Ilango, Mukunthan and Nijay (a) Dindigul Nasheer.

Producers Sujan Samuel Roy, Harish Muthyala Chetty and Sameer Ameeruddin dheen of 5E Creations will be revealing the title of their maiden project tentatively titled “No.1 Production”.
Bharath Ganesh had earlier directed Kannupada Pogudhaya (1999). The film, produced by Super Good Films, featured Captain Vijayakanth and Simran in the lead.

Shaam was last seen in Vijay's Varisu and he played Vijay's elder brother in the family drama and action entertainer. His performance in the film had won many hearts. Interestingly, Shaam and Vijay had earlier shared screen space in 2000 in SJ Suryah’s directorial debut Kushi. Shaam had made a cameo in a scene as Vijay’s friend.

Also Read: Shaam begins shoot for Thalapathy66 Later, Shaam went on to make his debut as a lead actor with 12B (2001) and was paired opposite Simran and Jyotika, who were the two of the biggest stars of the time. Jyotika had also played the lead in Kushi.

Meanwhile, maestro Ilaiyaraaja is basking in the success of Prime Video's anthology, Modern Love Chennai.
