Actor Shaam, who was last seen in Vijay's Varisu is now back in the fray. The actor is playing a RAW agent in director Srinu Vaitla's next. The film, which stars Gopichand and Kavya Thapar in the lead, is billed as an action entertainer

Shaam to perform some breathtaking action sequences
This is the first time in his career that Shaam is playing a RAW agent. The actor has beefed up his character as a covert operative. The film’s shooting has been canned across exotic locales of Milan, Madora and Rome. We hear that the shoot  spanned around 20 days,  and that Shaam performed three breathtaking action sequences. The crew is now back to India after wrapping up the first schedule.

This film with Gopichand has been in the working for quite some time now. The script was locked earlier this year and the filming began in September, with the first schedule in Italy. The buzz is that the project will be titled Vishwam. Since Srinu Vaitla's last few projects didn't really rake in the moolah, the director has been extra cautious about his next.

Shaam and his stint in Telugu cinema
Actor Shaam has appeared in a slew of appealing films in the recent years in both Tamil and Telugu industry. He was back in Tamil playing Vijay's sibling in Varisu, which was directed by Vamsi Paidipally. The film, which hit screens earlier this year as a Pongal release, went on to become a huge hit, although the film opened to mixed reviews. Some of his notable works in Telugu include Kick,Oosaravelli, Kshetram, Race Gurram, Kick 2 to name a few.

From a chocolate boy to action hero
It is to be noted that Shaam began his career as a chocolate boy with the romantic drama 12B, in which he teamed up opposite Simran and Jyotika. He then went on to work in films like Yai! Nee Romba Azhaga Irukey!, Lesa Lesa, Ullam Ketkumae and ABCD. After that, he began testing waters in the action genre and in characters with shades of grey.
