Varasudu: Dil Raju bends to pressure, changes the Telugu release date finally

Varisu is is a direct Tamil release and has been dubbed in Telugu. It has made a lot of noise ahead its release especially in Tollywood. Ever since the release date was locked for 11th Jan 2023, Dil Raju, the producer, locked a number of screens in the Telugu states taking advantage of the lucrative festive season. This did not go well with many in the industry.

A few years back, Dil Raju was the one who raised his voice that dubbed films should get lesser screens when big Telugu films come out. Now, as he is coming out with a dubbed Tamil film of his own, the industry insiders trolled his double standards. For those who do not know, Dil Raju owns several theaters in both the Telugu states and has blocked theaters for Varisu.

So, automatically, there was pressure on him to change the release date. So, after going through a lot of discussions and pressure from producers of Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy, Dil Raju has finally shifted the release date of Varasudu from the 11th to the 14th of this month. By then, all the other biggies in Telugu would be released and the Sankranthi competition will also subside a bit.

Varisu directed by Vamsi Paidipally is a family drama and has noted character actors. The film has Jayasudha, Prakash Raj, and several other popular actors in key roles. Thaman has scored the music for this film and Dil Raju has mounted it on a grand scale. Well, now that the release date has been changed, the trolling will finally stop and Dil Raju can concentrate on the promotions of his film.
