While all other projects in Hollywood have managed to have their own share of buzz around them, none could even touch the intense buzz around Fantastic Four Reboot. The project that was announced a long time ago has been the talk of the town for the past two years and has refused to fade from the pop scene. While we recently heard Jake Gyllenhaal and Vanessa Kirby are the front runners, the latter has now spoken about the same and maintained silence at the very same time.
For the uninitiated, Marvel Studios is planning a Fantastic Four reboot, which will bring back Marvel’s first family to the MCU. The studio has been shaping the reboot for a long time, only to be stopped by the Hollywood strikes. The rumour was that they would announce the casting of the movie once the strikes ended, but nothing really has come out of the mill as of now. It turns out Vanessa is now reacting to her rumour.
Many names have been attached to the Fantastic Four since the very beginning. While Margot Robbie was first rumoured to be playing Sue Storm, aka The Invisible Woman, it turned out to be false pretty soon. At this point, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One star Vanessa Kirby is said to be locked to play the part. While there is no confirmation, Kirby was asked about the same at the premiere of her Ridley Scott directorial, Napoleon.
She managed to maintain silence even when she was grilled, but the smile on her face, according to the netizens, confirmed the news. When asked if she is playing Sue Storm in The Fantastic Four Reboot, Vanessa Kirby said, “Oh, I don’t know; you will have to ask them.” The reporter later quizzed her on whether this was one of the projects she would be excited to join. She replied by saying, “I will be too honoured to join.”
Meanwhile, Adam Driver was the frontrunner for playing Reed Richards in the reboot and was speculated to be even confirmed. But soon, it all fell apart. The latest reports have suggested that Jake Gyllenhaal is Marvel’s first choice to lead Fantastic Four Reboot, and they are waiting for his nod. Joseph Quinn is close to being locked up, as Johnny and Ebon Moss-Bachrach are rumoured to be playing The Thing.
