Vanangaan: Bala opens up on the movie's progress, ignores question on alleged differences with Suriya

Movie buffs received the news of Suriya and Bala joining hands together with much joy when an official announcement was made last year. The project went on floors earlier this year in Kanyakumari and the team revealed its title a few months ago.

The movie was titled Vanangaan in Tamil and Achaludu in Telugu. The project is being bankrolled by Suriya's 2D Entertainment. A while ago, there was speculation about an alleged rift between Suriya and Bala. Though the team didn't comment on it, Suriya had released a picture of the two from the location.

The actor recently joined Siva's Suriya 42 and was expected to join Vanangaan to complete its remaining portions. Bala, who has been staying away from the limelight, was present at the pre-release event of a movie the other day. He chose not to open up much about the project's progress.

He said that the film is happening for sure, but refused to comment on the alleged differences between him and Suriya. Fans of the actor are looking forward to a crucial update from the movie which is likely to release this year.

Vanangaan stars Krithi Shetty and Mamitha Baiju among others in key roles while GV Prakash is scoring music. Balasubramanyam and Sathish Suriya are in charge of the movie's cinematography and editing respectively. There are reports of Suriya having more than one release in 2023. He is expected to join Vetri Maaran's ambitious flick Vaadi Vaasal, too, after a while.

Fans are curious to know which among the three projects he has in his kitty is likely to hit the screens first.
