Vaishali Takkar death: Actor’s suicide note indicates harassment by neighbour

Vaishali Takkar, the Sasural Simar Ka actor, was found dead on October 16, 2022, at her residence in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. ANI reports that the police found a suicide note at the scene. The note said that the actress's neighbour had been bothering her.

Vaishali was found hanged at her residence in Indore by her father yesterday morning when she did not come out of her room. A suicide note was also recovered on the spot, which indicated that she was stressed and was being harassed by her businessman neighbour, Rahul Navlani.

While the police are still in the process of investigating the case, the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Moti ur Rehman gave official confirmation of the information, stating that they have found a suicide note which clearly indicates that her neighbour Rahul Navlani used to harass her, which led her to take such an extreme step of dying by suicide. He also stated that the actress was about to get married to someone else, and that became the subject of Rahul’s harassment.

The ACP also added that Rahul is not present at his residence at the moment and has fled the scene with his house locked. The police are in the process of locating him, after which further questioning will take place.

Vaishali was born in Mahidpur, Ujjain. She later moved to Mumbai to become an actress, then to Jaipur, and finally to Sai Bagh Colony, near the Tejaji Nagar police station in Indore, where she lived with her father and brother.

Vaishali, 30, made her acting debut in the 2015 show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and was most recently seen in Rakshabandhan as Kanak Shivraj Pratap Singh Thakur, alongside Bigg Boss-famous actor Nishant Malkani.

She will be widely remembered for her roles as Shivani Sharma in Super Sisters, Netra Singh Rathore in Vish Ya Amrit: Sitara, and Ananya Mishra in Manmohini 2.
