Tamil actor Vaibhav, whose investigative thriller Ranam Aram Thavarel was released in theatres today (February 23), shared some interesting insights into his upcoming film with Thalapathy Vijay, The Greatest of All Time (GOAT). The actor praised director Venkat Prabhu's film and said that he believes that it will be the biggest blockbuster of Vijay’s career.
“I cannot reveal much about the film, but please note that the film will be the biggest blockbuster in Vijay’s career. The screenplay is really good and we are thoroughly enjoying shooting for the film. The film is currently on the shooting stage and we will wrap up the last two schedules soon,” Vaibhav revealed.
When asked about the film’s plot, the actor joked that even he was clueless about the story. Vaibhav explained that Vijay knows the entire story and how his scenes with Vaibhav are going to be. “I watched them (Vijay and Venkat Prabhu) from a distance and only later did director Venkat Prabhu explain that Vijay knew the complete story," the actor revealed.
Vaibhav also revealed that Vijay asked him how, even after shooting for so many days, he still didn't know the complete story. Although the actor was tight-lipped about what role he was playing in the film, it is clear from the answers that the actor’s role is going to be a fun-filled one, just like in his other films.
The Greatest of All Time, directed by Venkat Prabhu, is Vijay’s 68th film. According to reports, the makers are aiming to release the film on the actor's 50th birthday, in June.
Meanwhile, Vaibhav's latest outing, Ranam Aram Thavarel, which is written and directed by Sherief, was released in theatres today (February 23). Centred around a facial reconstruction artist's quest to find a mysterious killer, Ranam Aram Thavarel is an investigative thriller in which Vaibhav has a lot of scope to perform.
The film has been receiving mixed-to-positive reviews from X users who have hailed actor Vaibhav’s intense performance. Apart from Vaibhav, the film also stars Tanya Hope and Nandita Swetha as the two female leads, along with Saraswathi Menon and Suresh Chakravarthy in supporting roles.
