Ashwin Babu, who shot to fame with the Raju Gari Gadhi franchise, returned in style with the action thriller Hidimbha. While the film earned decent reviews and feedback from audiences, it couldn’t put up a great show at the box office. However, he’ll be back as a medico in his upcoming film, also a thriller, titled Vachhina Vaadu Gowtham. The first poster of the film was unveiled today.

The first poster of the film depicts Ashwin Babu’s hand holding a stethoscope. While his face isn’t visible, there’s blood dripping from his hand. The film is written and directed by a debutant Mamidala M R Krishna. Aluri Suresh is bankrolling the project under Shanmukha Pictures while Aluri Harshavardhan Chowdary is the presenter.

“#AB8 is #VachhinaVaaduGowtham - The Thrilling story of a Medico,” Ashwin Babu tweeted today. Much like Hidimbha, Ashwin will undergo a massive physical transformation for his character in Vachhina Vaadu Gowtham. This is the eighth film in his career and will be produced on a grand scale.

The crew comprises top-notch technicians including composer Gowra Hari, cinematographer Shyam K Naidu, editor Prawin Pudi, stunt director duo Ram-Lakshman and writer Abburi Ravi as well. Bhaskarabhatla Ravi Kumar and Shreemani are the lyricists for the album. The female lead of Vachhina Vaadu Gowtham will be finalised shortly.

For the uninitiated, Vachhina Vaadu Gowtham was formally launched with a different producer earlier this year i.e. DS Rao (actor-producer). Palak Lalwani was announced as the leading lady as well. For reasons best known to the actor and the producer, the production house has changed. Most of the crew members announced for the project has been more or less retained.
