Vaazha OTT release date: When and where to watch Anand Menon's coming-of-age dramedy

Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Boys, the most recent Malayalam movie, is scheduled to release on digital platforms shortly. The coming-of-age comedy-drama will reportedly be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar starting on September 23. This film is directed by Anand Menon, with a screenplay written by Vipin Das, the director of Guruvayoorambala Nadayil.

Since its August 15 theatrical release, the film has received nothing but positive reviews from audiences. It has already generated over Rs 25 crore worldwide at the movie office. Disney+ Hotstar has reportedly purchased the streaming rights to the dramedy online. Those who were unable to see the movie in theatres are looking forward to its digital release. Vipin Das' Guruvayoorambala Nadayil is also streaming on the same platform in multiple languages.

Vaazha had a successful theatrical run

The film revolves around the lives of five friends- Ajo, Vishnu, Moosa, Kalaam, and Vivek. They are often labeled losers and troublemakers by their parents and other acquaintances. As adults, they experience tremendous social pressure, which ultimately sets them on a challenging route toward accepting themselves and personal growth. Hashir, Saafboi, Amith, Anuraj O B, Anu, Mohan Rajeswari, and Joemon Jyothir make up Vaazha's core cast.

The film lives up to the positive anticipation that preceded its release, thanks to the direction of Anand Menen and the scripting of Vipin Das, says OTTplay's review. It also offers viewers touching moments that they will find endearing. An additional component that is sure to keep the audience engaged is situational humor. The film's creators also recently disclosed that there will be a sequel. Hashir will appear in a pivotal role in Vaazha 2, whose works are in progress, according to sources.
