Going by the trailer, Delhi Ganesh and Leela Samson play the lead pair in their 60s, who celebrate each day as it comes. Vinoth Kishan and Abhirami Venkachalam discover that they are soon-to-be parents and are set to welcome their first child. While Aadhitya Baaskar, who has just attempted suicide after a heartbreak, finds love all over again in Ammu Abhirami.
Talking about the film, AMR Murugesan said in a recent press meet, "The film is not based on a real-life character but is inspired by the many people I have seen in my life. I wanted the story to connect with all age groups, which is why I set it among three couples who are in various stages of life. The script kept changing before we decided on the final story so that we could have seamless narration."
He added, "The reason I named the film Vaan Moondru is because the film depicts the journey of three couples. 'Vaan' is also used to denote 'travel' and hence, the title fits aptly. Though we were initially contemplating an English title, we eventually zeroed in on Vaan Moondru."
While the music for the film is by R2bros, cinematography is by Charles Thomas and editing by Ajay Manoj. Vaan Moondru is bankrolled by Vinothkumar Senniappan.
