The makers of Arun Vijay-starrer Vaa Deal had announced a while ago that the long-pending action movie will hit the screens this Deepavali. According to J Sathish Kumar aka JSK, who has produced the movie under JSK Film Corporation, the decision to release the movie now in theatres is because he believes film lovers have started coming back to movie halls.

In an earlier chat with OTTplay, he had also said that the rise of Arun Vijay as bankable hero in the recent times is another reason why they chose to release Vaa Deal in theatres. He had plans to go the OTT way last year though he had changed his mind recently. On Friday, the much-awaited teaser of the film has ben unveiled by Silambarasan, Vijay Sethupathi, Venkat Prabhu and Arya on their social media handles.

The one-and-a-half minute teaser has Arun Vijay and Sathish playing BFFs and Karthika Nair seen as the romantic interest of the former. Vamsi Krishna is the antagonist in this revenge tale which has loads of action scenes, choreographed by Rajasekar. SS Thaman has composed music for the project which has cinematography by Gopi Jagadeeswaran and editing by Praveen KL.

The film was completed much before the release of Gautham Menon's Yennai Arindhaal, which changed the fate of Arun Vijay as an actor. His role of an antagonist in the movie gave him a new lease of life. His subsequent projects Kuttram 23, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and Thadam earned him accolades and won a lot of admirers.

He currently has half a dozen movies awaiting release, among which Oh My Dog, produced by Suriya-Jyotika's 2D Entertainment Pvt Ltd, will premiere on Amazon Prime Video in December. Yaanai, Borrder, Sinam, Agni Siragugal and Boxer are other projects he has in his kitty.
