Crazy Star Ravichandran’s next release is The Judgement, a legal thriller in which he plays the lead. The actor will be seen as a prosecutor, whose error of judgement sends an innocent man to jail. What he does when he realizes his folly and has to find a workaround to secure this man’s freedom is what the film by director Gururaj Kulkarni is about. Ravichandran is pitted against Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, as they fight to decide if Diganth’s character stays in jail or not. The film is likely to be a May theatrical release.
Directed by KV Raju, Yudha Kaanda is the Kannada remake of the Hindi film Meri Jung. With a 16-week theatrical run, Yudha Kaanda was one of the highest grossing films of 1989. Ravichandran played advocate Ravi Brahmavar, a defence lawyer with an agenda. Ravi has an axe to grind with a senior lawyer, Patil, who had sent his father to be hanged, despite knowing that he was innocent.

The Crazy Star was not a lawyer in the film that he directed and was his version of the Malayalam film Joseph. Ravichandran played an ex-cop with a nose for detail that helps him crack difficult murder cases. When he stumbles upon a hit-and-run case that’s linked to illegal organ harvesting, he goes on a crusade against the perpetrators, which he then brings to court with a proxy. Kiccha Sudeep played the lawyer arguing on behalf of Ravi Bopanna
