Uyir Thamizhukku OTT release date: Here is when and where you can stream Ameer’s latest film

Uyir Thamizhukku, the recently released Tamil film starring actor-director Ameer in the lead role, gets an OTT release date. The film will premiere on Aha Tamil on June 25 and will be available for watching on OTTplay Premium as well.

Uyir Thamizhukku is a recently released Tamil film starring veteran director Ameer in the lead role. The film is a political drama that had a theatrical release on May 10 this year. Following this, the film will premiere on Aha Tamil on June 25, the streaming platform announced on social media. The film will also be available on OTTplay Premium.

Apart from Ameer, Uyir Thamizhukku also stars Chandini, Anandraj, Imman Annachi, Rajasimman, Saravana Sakthi, Mahanadhi Shankar, Subramaniam Siva, Ravi Venkatraman, Raj Kapoor, and others. The film is directed by Adham Bava, who also served as the producer and backed the film under the banner Moon Pictures.

Uyir Thamizhukku is a political drama. The trailer for the film revolves around the protagonist, who contests an election and the happenings surrounding the procedure. It also shows how the protagonist navigates through the obstacles that he is posed with, and the rest of the film follows whether he wins the election or not. Uyir Thamizhukku has music scored by Vidyasagar and cinematography by Devaraj. The film's editing was handled by Ashok Charles.

Ameer is known for helming critically acclaimed films like Mounam Pesiyadhe, Raam and Paruthiveeran. His last directorial film to hit theatres was Yuddham Sei. Ameer has also appeared alongside actor Dhanush in films like Maaran and Vada Chennai.

The Ameer-starrer is the latest to be added to the Aha content library under the Tamil section. The streaming platform has been acquiring many of 2024’s Tamil releases. Tamil films, including Rasavathi, Siragan, Kurangu Pedal, The Boys, Ranam Aram Thavarel, Vadakkupatti Ramasamy, Devil, Romeo and Hot Spot, have been acquired by Aha this year alone. These films are also available on OTTplay Premium for streaming.
