Ushasi Ray set to pair up with THIS actor in the comeback on TV

OTTplay has reported that actress Ushasi Ray will make a grand comeback on television after a break of four years. The actress, who started her journey on TV with Milon Tithi on Star Jalsha, will be back with a family drama. As per sources, the promotion shoot is done and will be aired early this week.  

Now, it was also revealed that Susmit Mukherjee will be seen opposite Ushasi. Besides other works, the actor played the male lead in Star Jalsha’s Boron opposite Indrani Paul. Now he will be part of the new family drama. Furthermore, the serial will be produced by Raj Chakraborty’s house which has offered superhit shows like Godhuli Alap and Falna.  

The shooting will start within a week after Puja and will be aired soon. Evidently, it will replace a serial. The channel has yet to make any official announcement.  

Ushasi was last seen in Kadambini on Zee Bangla. The show that delves into the life of Dr Kadambini Ganguly was discontinued during the Covid 19 period in 2020. Ushasi, who became a household name after her portrayal of Bakul in Bakulkotha, played the lead.  

The actress then took a long break from television and focused on her acting career on OTT. In 2023, her performance in Indranil Roychowdhury’s Chhotolok (Zee5) was liked by viewers and critics alike. Besides, Ushasi was also seen in Hoichoi series like Kumudini Bhavan, two seasons of Gobhir Joler Mach, Noshtoneer 2, and others.
