The makers of the Malayalam upcoming film, Ullozhukku, unveiled its teaser today (June 3). Parvathy Thiruvothu and Urvashi are playing the lead roles in this project, which is slated to have a theatrical release on June 21.

Teaser of Ullozhukku

The one-minute teaser for the film leaves viewers with high expectations for Urvashi and Parvathy Thiruvothu's performances, even though it doesn't reveal much about the plot or characters. It features Urvashi's character pleading with her daughter-in-law, played by Parvathy Thiruvothu, to tell the truth about an unrevealed issue in the family.

Throughout the clip, Urvashi seems perplexed and haunted by the lies in her family, and it includes a scene in which she begs Parvathy not to refer to her as "Ammachi" (mother) anymore. A glimpse into some of the other characters is also shown in this teaser.

Ullozhukku, an emotional drama centred on familial relationships

The film is directed by Curry and Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case-fame Christo Tomy. The film's recently released poster features both actresses stuck in knee-deep water, suggesting that the area has recently experienced a flood. However, the tagline "Lies will drown...Secrets will surface" suggests a gripping narrative with some stressful scenes.

According to the director, Ullozhukkku, or Undercurrent, focuses on the deceptive acts in a family and how they affect relationships. It tells the story of a family in Kuttanad that had to wait to bury their loved one because the floodwaters had to recede. But while they wait, several secrets and lies are revealed, raising questions about the core beliefs of the family.

In another glimpse unveiled last week, Prashanth Murali and Parvathy Thiruvothu were shown as a newly married couple sitting on a boat. However, the couple does not appear overly excited about their wedding and acts unpleasantly around each other when they are posing for photos. Actors Shebin Benson, Arjun Radhakrishnan, Veena Nair, and Alencier Ley Lopez are also playing important roles in this project.
