Disney+ Hotstar is all set to launch a Tamil web series titled Uppu Puli Kaaram. Directed by M Ramesh Bharathi, the OTT giant released a first-look poster for the family entertainer that stars Ponvannan, Vanitha, Ayesha, Naveen, Ashwini, Deepika, Krishna, Farina and Raj Ayyappa. They play people from different walks of life and the series narrates the complexities of modern relationships.
Uppu Puli Kaaram revolves around modern love, with stories on relationships in the modern generation. It promises to be a fun and entertaining series that is said to particularly appeal to youth.
Disney+ Hotstar’s Tamil limited series
Disney+ Hotstar, which has recently been releasing several limited series such as Heart Beat and Label, has successfully appealed to young audiences. The OTT giant’s limited series, which are well appreciated by viewers, have generated demand for second seasons. However, the chances for second installments are low since the OTT giant has not revived any Tamil limited series in the last few years.
Heart Beat, which connected well with audiences, is expected to air its final episode soon. With the announcement of a new Tamil web series, fans believe that the popular medical drama might soon come to an end. Nevertheless, fans hope that their favourite series will be renewed with a second season rather than being limited to a few episodes.

Uppu Puli Kaaram's is produced by Vikatan Televistas, which produced the horror series November Story, starring Tamannaah, for Disney+ Hotstar in 2021. The music is scored by Sheik, while the cinematography is handled by Parthiban and Sathish Kumar. The release date is yet to be revealed.
