Ever since Real Star Upendra confirmed that he is soon back in the director's chair, fans have been waiting to learn more about the film with bated breath. The Kabzaa actor took to social media a few weeks ago to share the first look of the film through a poster that also bore the title of the film. Fans, enamored by his mystical avatar, then grew curious to know the exact title of the film and other details.
Now, it would seem that the wait is finally over as Upendra's next directorial is set to take off on June 3. According to the latest reports, the film will be launched on the same day at a special muhurtha ceremony and the shooting can be expected to begin soon after. This will be a joint production venture of 'Salaga' and 'Tagaru' producer K.P. Sreekanth (Venus Entertainers) and G. Manoharan (Lahari Music Group) and the duo is quite kicked about backing Upendra's new exotic dream. Reportedly, the film will be a multi-lingual project and more details concerning the title, cast and crew will soon be made public.
Upendra had shared the first look of the film to mark the completion of 33 years in the industry. From the horned horse to his grim reaper-like look, along with the graveyard kind of setup and the satellite lurking in the sky, there are several intriguing elements in the poster. "In the film Industry, it is you who created the story Upendra, it is you who wrote the screenplay & dialogues for 33 years, it is you who directed through your whistles and claps. I dedicate this film to you the praja prabhu fans 馃檹馃檹馃檹," wrote Upendra to his fans.
On the other hand, Upendra also has multiple projects lined up for release as an actor. He has R. Chandru's period gangster film Kabzaa, which is said to be only days away from completion, and Buddhivantha 2, Lagaamu, and a few others slated for release in the coming months. In Kabzaa, he will be joined by Vikrant Rona actor Kiccha Sudeep (as Bhargav Bakshi) and Shriya Saran as Madhumathi in the film. The makers are yet to reveal the second leading lady of the film.
