Here are all the major Telugu releases in April 2023 you need to watch out for.

Ravanasura - April 7

An action thriller, directed by Sudheer Varma, the film stars Ravi Teja, Sushanth, Sriram, Anu Emmanuel, Megha Akash, Faria Abdullah, Daksha Nagarkar, Poojitha Ponnada, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj in crucial roles. After consecutive hits, Ravi Teja will hope to score a hattrick with its success.

Meter - April 7

Written and directed by Ramesh Kaduri, the commercial entertainer features Kiran Abbavaram in his first-ever cop role. Athulyaa Ravi makes her Telugu debut with the film jointly produced by Clap Entertainment and Mythri Movie Makers. Sai Kartheek’s peppy album has resonated with music buffs already.

Shaakuntalam - April 14

The epic drama, inspired by Kalidasa’s Abhijnaana Shaakuntalam, is written and directed by Gunasekhar. With music by Mani Sharma, the film stars Samantha, Dev Mohan, Allu Arha, Sachin Khedekar, Kabir Bedi, Dr.M Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Madhubala, Gautami, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, Jisshu Sengupta.

Bichagadu 2 - April 14

The sequel to the surprise hit Bichagadu, this drama marks the directorial debut of Vijay Antony. Kavya Thapar plays the female lead in the film that also stars Radha Ravi, Y G Mahendran, Mansoor Ali Khan, Hareesh Peradi, John Vijay, Dev Gill and Yogi Babu. The film is produced by Fatima Vijay Antony.

Virupaksha - April 21

A mystical thriller, helmed by debutant Karthik Dandu, the film stars Sai Dharam Tej, Samyuktha Menon, Sai Chand, Brahmaji, Sunil and Rajeev Kanakala. With screenplay by Sukumar, the film is produced by BVSN Prasad under Sri Venkateshwara Cine Chitra in collaboration with Sukumar Writings.

Agent - April 28

A spy thriller, the first pan-Indian release in the career of Akhil Akkineni also stars debutant Sakshi Vaidya, Malayalam legend Mammootty and is directed by Surender Reddy. The film, which has music by Hiphop Thamizha, is jointly produced by AK Entertainments in association with Surender 2 Cinema.

Ponniyin Selvan 2 (PS2) - April 28

The sequel to Mani Ratnam’s adaptation of Tamil writer Kalki’s magnum opus stars Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Prabhu, R Sarath kumar, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman and Radhakrishnan Parthiban. With music by AR Rahman, the film is edited by Sreekar Prasad and has cinematography by Ravi Varman.
