In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Upasana Singh revealed she auditioned for Suman's role and met Sooraj Barjatya in Mumbai. The actress was informed everything about the film and her role. According to Upasana, she was selected by the filmmaker. However, his father, Rajkumar Barjatya rejected the actress for Maine Pyar Kiya.
