Unni Mukundan’s Marco is gearing up for a grand release in December 2024. The film’s recently-released first single has now got a major upgrade following social media backlash.

Unni Mukundan, the popular actor is reuniting with director Haneef Adeni for his next outing, Marco. The actor-director duo previously teamed up for Mikhael, the action drama which features the actor as the lead antagonist Marco Jr. Unni Mukundan and Haneef Adenis’ next outing is touted to be a spin-off to the Nivin Pauly starrer, features the actor as the titular character Marco. The first single from the film, which was released recently, received backlash on social media owing to its violent theme.
The Marco team updated the first single titled ‘Blood’, after it received mixed reactions from the cinephiles. The makers recently took to the official social media handles of the cast and crew members and made the special announcement. “We are committed to creating content that resonates with the expectations and sensibilities of our audience. Based on your feedback, we have decided to release an updated version of Blood, featuring vocals by the renowned *KGF fame Santhosh Venky*, which we hope will better connect with you,” reads the post.
If the reports are to be believed, the titular character Marco Jr., who was the deadly antagonist of Mikhael, will have a complete image makeover in the upcoming Haneef Adeni directorial. Yukti Thareja, the young Telugu actress has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Unni Mukundan, in the film. Senior actor Jagadish plays the lead antagonist in the film which stars Siddique, Abhimanyu Thilakan, Anson Paul, and Kabir Duhan Singh appear in pivotal roles in the film.
KGF fame musician Ravi Basrur has composed the songs and the original score for Marco. Chandru Selvaraj is the director of photography. Shameer Muhammed handles the editing. Kalai Kingson handles the action choreography. The project is jointly produced by Unni Mukundan and Shareef Muhammed, under the banners Unni Mukundan Films and Cubes Entertainments. The action thriller is set to have a pan-Indian release in five languages - Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
