Unni Mukundan is going places. The Meppadiyan actor, who has been honoured at various events, for his performance in the movie, had recently shared a photo with KGF: Chapter 2 and Salaar producer Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films.
This was welcomed by his fans, who have already started speculating that the actor is part of one of Hombale Films’ several much-anticipated projects. The actor, shared the photo with the caption, “I’m just thrilled to the core. With the visionary Vijay Kiragandur sir.”
While it’s not yet clear if it was just a casual meeting or the two are indeed collaborating for a future project, Unni Mukundan’s fans have already lined up a wishlist on the films that they would like the actor to be part of.
What looks most possible is Hombale Films’ debut Malayalam production Tyson, which was announced earlier this year. The movie, which will mark Prithviraj Sukumaran’s fourth directorial, will be scripted by Murali Gopy. Though there’s no timeline yet on when the film will go on floors, it is expected to be a big budget venture that will have a pan-Indian release. Prithviraj will begin work on Tyson only after he completes Mohanlal’s Empuraan, which is set to go on floors in early 2023 and eyeing a release the same year.
Unni, meanwhile, is also set to begin shooting for his pan-India venture titled Bruce Lee, which will be helmed by Vysakh. The action entertainer will have actors from Kannada, Telugu and Tamil with Unni playing the protagonist.
The actor, who has also completed shooting for his second production venture Shafeekkinte Santosham, will also be seen in several upcoming releases including Luca director Arun Bose’s Mindiyum Paranjum and Jayaraj’s upcoming films. He is also awaiting the release of his Telugu venture Yashoda, which has Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in pivotal roles.
