Captain Miller, the highly anticipated period action drama that stars Dhanush in the titular role, is gearing up for a Pongal 2024 release. The movie, which marks the National Award-winning actor’s first collaboration with talented filmmaker Arun Matheswaran, has already garnered the attention of cine-goers with its promising teaser and first single. The makers of Captain Miller released the second single, ‘Un Oliyile’, from the movie, which features Dhanush and leading lady Priyanka Arul Mohan, on social media today (December 23, 2023).

The romantic melody portrays the unspoken love between the leading man, Captain Miller, and his lady love as they prepare for a big movement along with their tribe. Un Oliyile is composed by National Award-winner GV Prakash Kumar and penned by Kaber Vasuki. The love song, which is sung by Sean Roldan, has captured the essence of the silent and unspoken love between two headstrong individuals who are poles apart in their personalities and ideologies.
Un Oliyile unfolds from the perspective of the leading man, Eesa, aka Analeesan, who is also known as Captain Miller. The song presents him as the wounded warrior, who is an embodiment of rage and darkness. The leading lady, on the other hand, has been described as the light in his darkness and the kindness that tames his rage. From the soothing melody, it is evident that Captain Miller is not just an out-and-out action drama, but the movie also has a well-flushed-out romantic angle to it.
The Un Oliyile lyrical video also suggests that the audience cannot expect a typical romantic song in the signature style of Tamil cinema in the Arun Matheswaran directorial. Instead, the filmmaker and his team have created a world that is not very familiar to South Indian cinema audiences.
