Actor, filmmaker, and Tamil Nadu Youth Affairs Minister Udhayandihi Stalin has congratulated the latest Malayalam Onam release, RDX. Asking everyone to watch the film in theatres, Stalin called RDX "the best martial arts film in India".

Stalin's latest Facebook post is in appreciation of the film. His post read, "RDX, Malayalam movie! Just WOW! Best martial arts/action film in India ! Go watch it in big screen and support this film !  congrats RDX team."

Antony Varghese and Neeraj Madhav, who played the lead roles in the film expressed, their gratitude to Stalin, sharing a screenshot of his Facebook post.

RDX is an action entertainer that hit theatres on August 25, in time for Onam. Although it released along with Dulquer Salmaan's King of Kotha and Nivin Pauly's Ramachandra Boss & Co, RDX managed to garner positive responses from the audience and is currently running to packed houses.

RDX box office collection

According to reports, the film has already made Rs 18 crore at the box office within 4 days of its release. Considering the fewer screens the film got when compared to the other Onam releases, this can be considered a good performance.

Helmed by the debutant Nahas Hidayath, RDX is an action entertainer that revolves around the life of three friends in Kochi. The film, starring Shane Nigam, Neeraj Madhav, and Antony Varghese, has been lauded for its high-octane action sequences and adrenaline-pumping moments.

The action sequences, which are the big draw for the film,  have been choreographed by Anbariv. The three main leads of the film trained in different forms of martial arts and the stunt sequences of each character were designed according to the martial arts they trained for.

The people behind RDX

RDX is bankrolled by Sophia Paul's Weekend Blockbusters, who had said that they wanted to make up for being unable to release Minnal Murali in theatres through RDX. Despite being a commercial film, Minnal Murali could not be released in theatres due to the COVID-19 imposed lockdowns.

Scripted by Adarsh Sukumaran and Shabas Rasheed, RDX also stars Lal, Mahima Nambiar, Aima Sebastian, Maala Parvathy, Vishnu Agasthya, Nishanth Sagar, and Baiju Santhosh in pivotal roles.
