U and I OTT release date: When and where to watch Ram Karthik, Nakshatra’s show online

ETV Win, the streaming platform of the Eenadu group, which officially kickstarted this Ugadi has come up with an array of new releases in Telugu - including films and shows for its first quarter. After its first web show, Righto Lefto, a sitcom directed by Venugopal Kurapati, the platform is coming up with another web original titled U and I.

U and I, nicknamed the first ever lockdown story, is written and directed by Siva Sai Vardhan. The latter is best known for helming popular shows like Geetha Subramanyam (on Youtube), Hello World (on ZEE5) and Pelli Gola (for Viu). Ram Karthik, who made a mark in films like Dhruva, Ram Asur, is paired alongside Nakshatra (seen in films like Gem, Rajdooth, Palasa 1978) in this show.

The relationship drama is jointly produced by Sri Surya Entertainments and SNL Entertainments. The show will premiere on ETV Win on April 27. Ahead of its launch, the trailer was unveiled yesterday. The show, set amidst the COVID-19 lockdown backdrop, revolves around the highs and lows in the relationship of an urban couple. The trailer focuses on their comical banters with an advocate.

The glimpse sheds light on the scenario during the early days of the lockdown and the struggles that a man and a woman experience while sharing their responsibilities at the household. While the duo starts off as good friends and decide to live-in together, their equation takes a drastic turn and this comes to a point where they can’t tolerate each other’s presence.

The couple take up odd activities to kill boredom during the lockdown and the breezy, lighthearted storytelling grabs your eyeballs. Ram Karthik and Nakshatra showcase good screen presence and share impressive on-screen chemistry. Siva Sai Vardhan’s experience in addressing issues specific to modern-day couples reflect in the treatment.
