Zack Snyder just can't stop making the news, but all for the right reasons. The filmmaker, who recently revealed that his zombie movie Army of the Dead will inspire a prequel and an animated series, has been involved in several other projects too. One of them that Netflix is bringing to the audience is Twilight of The Gods. The actors that are going to helm this project have finally been revealed.
Snyder shared the news of its release and cast over the Netflix Geeked Week livestream. The series is expected to be an anime feature that puts a modern spin on the tales of old Gods.
“It’s my take on Norse mythology,” said Snyder during the Geeked Week virtual event. “It’s just going to be unlike anything you’ve seen. In animation, we can do anything we want so it's going to be fun for all of us. The creatives involved have just been going nuts.”
Netflix took to Twitter to release a cast list, which includes Sylvia Hoeks as Sigrid, Stuart Martin as Leif, Pilous Asbæk as Thor, John Noble as Odin, Paterson Joseph as Loki, Kristopher Hivju as Andvari, Peter Stormare as Ulfr, Rahul Kohli as Egill and Corey Stoll as Hrafnkel.
Many fans are speculating that Twilight of The Gods is inspired by Blood of Zeus, another Netflix anime series based on Greek gods that proved to be successful.
Snyder will executive produce the project while his Army of The Dead anime series director Jay Oliva Will be working on the series as well.
