In the interview, the actor also said that it was his off day since it was the second Sunday of the month. “Other years, I request a day off but this year, it was my day off anyway. It is our tradition that we distribute food among people in need. Every year, they come near our house and we pack and hand over their meal,” he said.

There was no biryani but a variety of kebabs and simui (vermicelli) were on the menu. He also said that the drizzle of rain and the holiday made the day special.

Rezwan became a household name after his popular serial Saanjher Baati with Debchandrima Singha Roy. In his new serial Nabab Nandini, Rezwan will portray the character of a pampered son of a traditional household that is controlled by one of the daughters-in-law of the family. While Ananya will be seen as the daughter-in-law, Indrani will be playing the character of a dad’s pampered child looking for a job. Ananya is a hospitality honcho and Indrani starts working under her. Meanwhile, Rezwan is seen as an aspiring footballer.

After the popularity of Rezwan’s Saanjher Baati, the serial came up with a Hindi remake. Meanwhile, his co-actress Debchandrima has also paired up with Pratik Sen for a new serial Shaheber Chithi.
