TV heartthrob Shaheer Sheikh makes his Bollywood debut, joins Kriti Sanon and Kajol in Do Patti

Shaheer Sheikh is the latest entrant on Kriti Sanon-Kajol’s upcoming film, Do Patti. With that, the TV actor makes his debut in Bollywood. He confirmed the same during a recent interaction. Shaheer spoke about the character he plays in the movie (in brief) and also shared his experience working with the team. Shaheer was spotted at writer Kanika Dhillon’s party, which has sparked speculations about him being a part of the project.

Shaheer told Pinkvilla that he loves how his character has so many shades to him. Other details about his character are kept under the wraps. As for Kriti and Kajol, it is reported that Kajol plays a mysterious woman who is always a step ahead in things, while Kriti is someone who is caught in a web of lies.

The actor, who has reportedly started shooting for the film, further spoke about Kanika and called her a ‘fantastic storyteller.’ “I can’t wait for the world to see what we’re creating,” he said.

A popular name on TV

Shaheer is among one of the heartthrobs on Indian TV and he is now ready to take over Hindi films too, starting with Do Patti. The actor was last seen in Woh Toh Hai Albela but he is most popular for the TV show, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi. Shaheer and Erica Fernandez’s chemistry was the most loved on the show. While Shaheer had made his TV debut with Kya Mast Hai Life in 2009, he got recognized in the role of Arjun in 2013’s Mahabharat.

What is Do Patti?

Netflix had announced its upcoming film, Do Patti. The movie will release in 2024. A mystery thriller set in North India, Do Patti sees Kajol and Kriti Sanon drawn into a game of cat-and-mouse chase. The movie is helmed by Shashanka Chaturvedi. Kriti’s production company Blue Butterfly Films bankrolls the film along with Kanika, who makes her debut in production with this movie, and Netflix, where the film will stream.
