The makers of Malayalam latest film, Turbo, had released its Arabic teaser recently, much to the delight of Mammootty fans across the Gulf countries. But did you know that a Malayali UAE-based influencer has dubbed for the Malayalam megastar?
In the Arabic dubbing, Ahmad Salah, who has gained immense popularity on the internet for his multilingual video content and different talents, provided the voice of the actor. The news is announced on the influencer's social media pages by him. Many others wished him well and congratulated him on his accomplishment.
The actor attended the teaser launch event that was hosted in Dubai. Speaking to the enthusiastic audience, Mammootty said he would love to travel to more areas of the United Arab Emirates to promote his next movie if it ends up being another box office success. "Turbo produced comparable collections in India and the Gulf States. This may be the first Malayalam film to be dubbed in Arabic," he said. The megastar of Malayalam also urged viewers to see the movie in theatres instead of waiting for its digital release.

He mentioned that for the Arabic version, the main character Turbo Jose's name has been changed to Jasim Turbo. Only after the film's release will the additional edits made to accommodate the tastes of the intended audience be seen.
The film, directed by filmmaker Vysakh, had a great opening weekend at the box office even though reviews from critics and film enthusiasts were divided. It is interesting to note that the makers of Turbo are already working on a sequel. In the second instalment of the franchise, another Malayalam or South Indian superstar is anticipated to join the megastar. Fans of the actor anticipate the film's release on a popular OTT platform to happen soon as well. The creators, though, have refuted any reports of it.
