Mammootty is set to make a grand comeback to the big screens with Turbo, the upcoming action-comedy film. The project, which is helmed by Vysakh, is slated to hit the theatres on May 23, 2024, has created quite a stir on social media with its highly promising trailer which was released recently. For the uninitiated, Turbo is bankrolled by Mammootty himself, under the banner Mammootty Kampany. As per the reports, the movie is being made as the most expensive project in the megastar’s career yet.
If the recent updates are to be believed, the mass action-comedy film has emerged as the most expensive project in the career of its leading man-producer, Mammootty. The grapevine suggests that Turbo has been made with a massive budget of over Rs. 60 crore including both the production cost and the print and publicity expenses. As per the reports, the Vysakh directorial has also emerged as one of the costliest projects produced by the Malayalam film industry.
The recent updates suggest that Mammootty’s Turbo is set to get a massive theatrical release across the globe with a record number of screens. The Vysakh directorial has reportedly charted around 550 plus theatres around the world so far. The screen count is expected to expand further when the action-comedy film hits the theatres. If Turbo receives positive reviews from the audiences, it is safe to assume that the movie will get at least 100 extra shows in Kerala alone, right from its release day.
