Retired Crime Branch SI C Mohanan is all set to share his unique investigation experiences through visual media.The fact of him being the only Kerala police officer who has won the badge of honour four times for his investigative excellence, has made the show more thrilling and authentic. Titled as True Crime, the docufiction released this week on the Malayalam OTT platform Koode, has been gaining much media attention lately.

Portraying some prominent cases, Mohanan narrates some thrilling events he had experienced, in True Crime. He thinks those stories are sure to excite the curiosity of crime thriller lovers, as quoted by ONmanorama.

His amazing skills had often led to solving puzzled crimes, and ensured justice to the victims by sending many criminals behind the bars. He had an exciting career span of about three decades, from 1981 to 2017. He has been a part of numerous investigation teams, and is still approached by new officers for guidance and advice during crucial times.

The officer is best known for the popular Koliyoor case, which is a main part of the documentary. He was rewarded a cash prize, for ensuring capital punishment for the culprit who assaulted a woman after murdering her husband in Koliyoor, Kovalam. The woman is still undergoing treatment, who was injured in 2016. 

The other attraction of True Crime is the twin murder case, in which the culprits were two IT professionals working in Technopark. This was one of the case that proved the excellence of Kerala police, where they tracked the murderers with flawless proofs. 

Helmed by Manju MS, True Crime is backed by Studio Mojo. The cinematography is done by Chandran Aryanad, while Akshay Gopal is the editor.
