A day after actor Vijay’s birthday, his Ghilli and Leo co-star Trisha dropped a birthday wish and posted a picture of them together on social media, on Sunday. Evidently, this has been spreading like a wildfire on social media, with many hailing the onscreen couple.
Vijay turned 50 on Saturday (June 22). The actor, who has launched his political party recently, had asked his fan club administrators and others to suspend celebrations and instead help victims of the Kallakurichi hooch tragedy.
While many of the celebrities took to social media to wish him on the day, actor Trisha took a day later to wish him. In her Instagram post, Trisha posted a mirror selfie with Vijay, and captioned it, “The calm to a storm, The storm to a calm! To many more milestones ahead.” She is seen wearing a blue patterned dress, while Vijay is seen clad in black and black shirt and pant.
Trisha has acted with Vijay in hit films like Leo, Ghilli, Kuruvi (which had a much successful re-release) and Thirupaachi. The onscreen pair has been celebrated by the fans. So naturally, when Trisha dropped her one-day late birthday wish for Vijay, fans could not keep calm. Check out some of the reactions the post invited on social media. Some found joy in seeing the onscreen favourite couple once again.
Vijay will be next seen in The GOAT- Greatest of All Time, directed by filmmaker Venkat Prabhu. The film is set to release on big screens on September 5. The makers had dropped a glimpse from the film along with second single, Chinna Chinna Kangal from The GOAT to celebrate the actor’s birthday. It is also rumoured that Trisha will make cameo appearance in The GOAT.
The GOAT has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Apart from Vijay, the film also stars Sneha, Prashanth, Laila, Prabhudheva, Mohan, Ajmal Ameer, Premgi, Meenakshi Chaudhary and others. Touted to be a sci-fi action drama, Vijay is expected to appear in two versions, young and old. The post theatrical rights of the film have been bagged by Netflix.
