If the actress comes on board, this will be her third film with Kamal Haasan after Thoongavanam and Manmadhan Ambu

If the buzz in the industry is to go by, Trisha is likely to play the leading lady in Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's next. Kamal Haasan had recently thrown a surprise to the audience when he announced that he will be teaming up with director Mani Ratnam for his next. The film is tentatively being referred to as KH234 and the shoot is likely to kickstart in mid- 2023. KH234 will have music by AR Rahman, and will be produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Studios, Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Film International and Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies.
The last time Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan had teamed up was for the film, Nayagan, which hit screens in 1987. The gangster saga had Kamal Haasan playing Velu Naicker, and revolves around the transformation of a slum dweller into a gangster.The film was loosely based on the life of the Bombay underworld don Varadarajan Mudaliar. Nayagan went on to become one of the most iconic works of Tamil cinema.
In the meantime, we hear that Trisha is also being considered as the leading lady for Thalapathy67, which will have Vijay teaming up with his Master director Lokesh Kanagaraj. She is also said to be in talks for Ajith's next. With Trisha being considered for three big films in the upcoming year, it looks like the actress is indeed riding on a career high.
The actress has become the talk of the town after her role as Ilaiya Piratti Kundhavai in Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan. Her last release in 2022 was Raangi, in which she played a journalist called Thaiyal Nayagi, who is on a mission to rescue a 17-year-old terrorist in Tunisia. The film met with mixed reviews. However, Trisha was lauded for her performance in the film. Trisha is awaiting the sequel to Ponniyin Selvan, which will hit screens in April 2023. Trisha surely seems to be the actress of the season.
