The Road also stars Sarpatta Parambarai 'Dancing Rose' Shabeer, Santhosh Prathap, Miya George and MS Bhaskar.

The film is directed by debutant Arun Vaseegaran and the project was officially launched on April 25. The plot is said to be based on a real-life incident. The shoot is happening in Madurai. Music for the film is by Sam CS, cinematography is by KG Venkatesh and editing is by Nagooran.

In the meantime, Trisha has wrapped up the shoot for her debut web series in Telugu, Brinda. Brinda is named after Trisha's character in the series and is directed by Surya Vangala. The show is billed as an investigative thriller. This is the first time that the actress is playing a cop in her acting career.
