Arjun Ustara: Triptii Dimri to romance Shahid Kapoor in Vishal Bhardwaj’s action-packed thriller - Details

After ending 2023 with a massive fan following over her performance in Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, Triptii Dimri kicked off 2024 with multiple films. She featured in films like Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video starring Rajkummar Rao, Bad Newz starring Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 alongside Kartik Aaryan. Now the actress is all set to share screen space with none other than Shahid Kapoor. 

Triptii Dimri to romance Shahid Kapoor in Arjun Ustara

Triptii Dimri and Shahid Kapoor are all set to appear in Arjun Ustara. This is the first time the actors will share the screen for this action thriller. Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the film is set to begin filming on January 6, 2025. Reports suggest that the pre-production is already underway, with a massive studio set being built in Mumbai.

While many details about the plot of the film are not known, it is said that the film is set against the underworld backdrop in the post-Independence era. The makers are aiming to wrap the shooting soon so that it makes an entry into the theatres in 2025.

Earlier, a source informed Pinkvilla that Triptii Dimri is excited to collaborate with Shahid Kapoor on this project. "Triptii is also excited to embark on a new journey with Shahid Kapoor, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Vishal Bhardwaj. The film will go on floors in January with a marathon schedule, and the makers aim to call it a wrap, to bring the film on the big screen by the end of 2025," the source said.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Triptii Dimri is currently busy filming the romantic drama Dhadak 2 alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi. Backed by Dharma Productions, the film is the much-awaited sequel to the 2018 hit film Dhadak. On the other hand, Shahid Kapoor will next appear in Deva, directed by Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews. The gripping action drama is slated to release on January 31.
