Triptii Dimri reveals how she came onboard for Animal - 'During ad shoot, an assistant director...'

Triptii Dimri is enjoying the newfound success and fame after Animal's release. The actress has been in showbiz for six years now. However, she earned massive recognition after Sandeep Reddy Vanga's movie was released on the silver screen. Triptii essayed the role of Zoya in the film, wherein she shared screen space with Ranbir Kapoor. But how did Dimri come onboard for the movie? The actress has now spilled the beans.

Triptii Dimri on how she was roped in for Animal

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Triptii Dimri recalled how Sandeep Reddy Vanga approached her to play Zoya in Animal.

"During an ad shoot, an assistant told me that (director) Sandeep Reddy Vanga sir wanted to cast me in this film. It was an instant yes when I heard the film's backstory, but nothing happened for a year. He called me and said, Triptii, I am not going to send you this character by saying it's the lead; it is a negative character, but I don't want you to play it like that," she said.

Triptii Dimri makes FIRST appearance since Animal success

Meanwhile, Triptii made her first public appearance after the success of Animal. The actress was spotted at the airport after she returned from a shoot, which took place in Bhopal. At the airport, Dimri was all smiles as she posed for the paparazzi. The actress opted for a casual outfit. She even happily obliged a fan with a selfie.

About Animal

Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has emerged as a box-office winner. The film has minted Rs 361.08 crore at the ticket window. The worldwide BO collection of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer is Rs 563 crore. 

Apart from Ranbir and Triptii, the film featured Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Siddhant Karnick, Bobby Deol, and Shakti Kapoor in pivotal roles. The central plot of this movie revolves around a son going to any extent to avenge a deadly attack on his father.

The movie clashed with Vicky Kaushal's Sam Bahadur at the box office. It was directed by Meghna Gulzar.
