Actor Sumeet Vyas who has penned Tripling and plays the elder sibling Chandan in the much-loved web series said that the show has been therapeutic for him. From developing the story to writing, acting, and being involved in every stage – the journey for him has been intriguing so far, he explained. The actor was present alongside his co-star Maanvi Gagroo and Amol Parashar in Mumbai at the trailer launch and interactive session with the media on October 8.
Talking about the show, Sumeet said, “Tripling is my go-to therapy where I get to conceptualise, write the screenplay and dialogues, act, contribute towards the larger picture, and do a lot more. And with every season, I am becoming closer to the characters and the storytelling arc.”
Sharing more insight into the third season, the actor-writer said that the new season is going to be a mad ride as the three siblings find out that ‘crazy’ runs in the family.
However, Sumeet added that this season is also going to be a heartwarming one. “One thing I can promise you all is that this is going to be a heart-warming story so keep your crazy family closer for a better viewing experience.”
The new season revolves around the separation of Charu and Chinmay – the parents of these three siblings, Chandan, Chanchal, and Chitvan. How the siblings react and handle the whole situation of their parents’ emotional journey and how it brings the whole family together sets the premise of the show. It takes them on another road trip that gives them a chance to rediscover themselves.
The show is produced by Arunabh Kumar of TVF-fame and the new season is directed by Neeraj Udhwani. The story is by Arunabh Kumar and Sumeet Vyas, who has also penned the screenplay and written the dialogues with Abbas Dalal.
The five-episode Tripling Season 3 also features Shernaz Patel, Kumud Mishra, and Kunaal Roy Kapur, and will be dropped on ZEE5 on October 21.
