Tripling Season 3: A messy, un-sanitize version of family drama

As the trailer of the most awaited third season of Tripling is dropped, the narrative focuses on the lives of the parents of Chandan, Chanchal and Chitvan - who have decided to get divorced.

While the first two seasons revolved around the lives of three siblings and their messed up situation, the new season shows how the decision of their parents to get divorced brings the family together and they go for a road trip to rediscover themselves.

The character of the parents is played by Shernaz Patel and Kumud Mishra.

The lead actors of the show - Sumeet Vyas, Amol Parashar and Maanvi Gagroo were present at the trailer launch event that was specially arranged for the members of the media.

During an interactive session with the actors, one of the journalists asked Sumeet, if the show intended to tell a family story, why they kept playing a song like Mada Faka that has an undertone of an abusive word like motherf**, since both does not go well together with the theme of a family audience.

Sumeet replied, " firstly the song mother*** is not the title song of our show and also it is one of those words that we do use in real life. In life, even on family occasions, some motherf** problem happens that we deal with, so it is as real as it can get (laughed). But on a serious note, when we were planning to write the show, we intend to make a show about siblings, and their families and project them in a real, not so-sanitized manner; because we have multiple shows and films that are made like that."

"There are films where family is shown as doing puja-path together and sharing laddoos. But that is not the story of this family or in most of the family in real life. The lifestyle of this family is such that they eat and drink together fight against each other, and use words like motherf** but still stay together. Just because they have such a lifestyle, that does not mean they are bad people at all. They are imperfect, so as life and we all are," the actor further explained.

The song Mada Faka was written by Kapil Sawant, Amar Mangrulkar and sung by Amar Mangrulkar, Shaaze Merchant which was used in the first season. The song also has a rap version and that is additionally written and composed by Varun Likhate.

The show Tripling Season 3, will be streaming on ZEE5, from October 21.
