Blake Shelton has not only won his wife’s heart yet again but he sky-rocketed the expectations of an ideal life partner with his tear-jerking speech at the Hollywood Walk of Fame event. Gwen Stefani, the American singer-songwriter was on 19 October honored with the coveted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. During the special occasion, her husband Blake Shelton presented an emotional speech that took her by surprise and before she knew it, she was already in tears.

Taking a trip down the memory lane, Shelton beautifully described the precious moment he first met Stefani. Recalling the emotional moment at the beginning of his speech, he said, "The first time that I ever met Gwen was in 2014. She wasn't like any other famous person I had ever met before. She drove herself to work in a black minivan with car seats in it. She didn't role in with security. She came in with a baby and two little boys."

In his speech, he also admired how Stefani prioritised motherhood, without sidelining it with her career goals.  "From music, television, and movies to fashion and beauty, she has risen to the top over and over again with her unique style that has made the world fall in love with her – not as much as me though," he continued the speech before concluding it with hugs and kisses to his wife.

I wouldn’t have met my best friend, my husband..

The "True Babe" singer thanked her partner after hearing the moving speech. Reminiscing the time she met her soulmate, the 47-year-old pop star said, “If I didn’t have The Voice and I didn’t have Irving, I wouldn’t have met my best friend, my husband, Blake Shelton.

“I love you so much. You have given me the kind of love I never knew before. The minute I met you I knew I was home." Stefani later thanked her fans for the immense love and support they showered on the singer.

Receiving the coveted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is a huge achievement for any artist. Previously, Blake Shelton also received his star, making them indeed a power couple!
