Toxic update: Yash promises a special surprise on his birthday; unveils new poster of Geetu Mohandas’ film

Yash, the Rocking Star of Kannada cinema is gearing up to make his grand comeback to the big screens, with Toxic. The project, directed by Geetu Mohandas, is reportedly nearing the final stages of its production. After a long wait, Yash took to his official social media handles today (January 6, 2025) and dropped the film’s new poster, with a special announcement. In his poster, the leading man confirmed that the much-awaited Toxic first look poster will be revealed on his birthday.

The Kannada superstar took to his official social media handles recently and dropped a brand-new poster of Toxic. “Unleashing him…” reads the leading man’s Instagram post, which also confirms that the Toxic first look will be out at 10.25 AM on January 8, 2025, on the special occasion of Yash’s birthday. The Rocking Star is seen standing beside a vintage car, in an off-white suit. Yash completes his look with a black hat and his signature thick beard and is seen blowing a ring of smoke.

From the new poster, it is safe to assume that director Geetu Mohandas and her team are set to bring an unseen dimension of the celebrated actor to the big screens, with Toxic. The theme of Toxic, which is touted to be a ‘fairytale for the grownups’, and the character played by Yash in the film, has been strictly kept under wraps. However, the makers are expected to drop major hints on the same with the release of the actor’s first look from the film.

All about Toxic

Yash is set to play the central character in Toxic, which marks the Kannada debut of Malayalam actress-turned-filmmaker, Geetu Mohandas. Nayanthara is said to be playing an equally important role in the film, while Bollywood actress Kiara Advani is reportedly roped in, to play the protagonist’s love interest. Huma Qureshi is expected to play a negative role in the film. However, the makers are yet to announce the rest of the star cast and technical crew of Toxic, which is produced by Monster Mind Creations.
