Toxic Birthday Peek: Yash is swag ultra pro in first visuals of Geetu Mohandas’ fairy tale for grown ups

His untamed presence is your existential crisis – that’s how Rocking Star Yash’s character from his next, Toxic, had been described. A cigar-chomping figure, hidden by a hat – that's all we’d seen of him so far. Such has been the intrigue surrounding director Geetu Mohandas’ film and Yash’s character in it that every time the actor made a public appearance, his fans would scour over the images to figure out his look from the film – from the changes to his hair, beard and physique, everything’s been under the microscope.

And today, on the occasion of the superstar’s birthday, KVN Productions, which is backing the film along with Yash’s Monster Minds Creations, gave fans the glimpse they were so eagerly waiting for. The Toxic: Birthday Peek is finally here. That Yash’s swag in a suit is quite something – as witnessed in KGF: Chapter 2 – and he continues that in Toxic in a crisp white 4-piece suit, a hat and a cigar to boot, strutting through a casino, where drugs and alcohol and girls in barely-there outfits are in abundance.

Was the sneak peek of Yash from Toxic worth the wait? Well, in all honesty, the glimpse was more about the debauchery at the casino than the man himself and what little we do get to see of him tells us little more other than the fact that he’s more than game to partake in all the merriment. Toxic is, after all, a fairy tale for grown-ups. So, technically, no surprises there.

Toxic is Yash’s 19th, a film that was under much scrutiny before its official announcement, as fans were eager to know what the actor would take up as his next venture after the monstrous hit that was KGF: Chapter 2. After a lot of speculation, he eventually chose to collaborate with Geetu, a decision that fans were not too happy with initially, but have come to terms with, given the few details available in the public domain about the cast, crew and potential release partners.
