Tovino Thomas is thrilled about Nadikar Thilakam: 'Witness the rise of a cinematic icon'

Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas on Sunday announced that he will commence shooting for his upcoming movie, Nadikar Thilakam, next week. The film is scheduled to go on floors on July 11, but there have been reports that director Lal Jr has already begun filming some scenes with junior artists over the past month.

Stay tuned for more updates and gear up for an unforgettable journey into the world of stardom," tweeted Tovino.

Describing Nadikar Thilakam as a fun yet realistic entertainer, the film's scriptwriter Suvin Somashekharan told OTTplay earlier , “It doesn't have any acting-related backdrop despite the title. Tovino plays the central character but Soubin also has a pivotal role in the movie. We are currently in the process of finalising the rest of the cast."

In addition to Nadikar Thilakam, Tovino has several other projects in various stages of production. Recently, Tovino revealed a major update about his upcoming film titled Identity, where he announced that Trisha Krishnan would be joining the cast as the female lead. Trisha expressed her excitement about working with the team, describing the movie as a "high-octane action entertainer." The film is scripted by the makers of Forensic, Anas Khan, and Akhil Paul.

Tovino Thomas is currently riding high on the success of his 2018 film, which turned out to be one of the highest-grossing movies in the history of Malayalam cinema. With worldwide ticket sales exceeding Rs 150 crore, the disaster film, directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, continues to captivate audiences. The movie is now available for streaming on SonyLIV.
