Top Rashmika Mandanna films to stream on OTT

Rashmika Mandanna is one of the most sought-after actresses in the country today. Despite being a relative newcomer to the film industry after her debut in 2016, she grabbed national attention with the Telugu film Pushpa: The Rise in 2021. The actress is currently basking in the release of her first Hindi film Goodbye, and she has two other Bollywood projects Mission Majnu and Animal in the pipeline. Kirik Party (Voot)

Directed by Rishab Shetty, the 2016 Kannada film Kirik Party marked the on-screen debut of Rashmika Mandanna. The film follows an engineering student named Karna as he experiences love, heartbreaks, and tragedy while maturing into a responsible adult. Mandanna plays Saanvi, a final-year student on whom Karna has a crush. Rakshit Shetty plays the lead role in the film which also features Samyuktha Hegde and Achyuth Kumar. The film won plaudits from fans and critics alike and is one of the highest-grossing Kannada films of all time. A sequel to the film is in the works.

Sarileru Neekevvaru (Disney+ Hotstar)

The second film on this list is the Telugu film Sarileru Neekevvaru, which is streaming on Disney + Hotstar. Rasmika plays Samskruthi, a boisterous young woman who falls in love with an Army Major. Mahesh Babu plays Major Ajay Krishna in the film. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film also features Vijayashanti, Sangeetha, Prakash Raj, and Rajendra Prasad. Upon release, Sarileru Neekevvaru received praise for its action sequences and performances.

Geetha Govindam. (Disney+ Hotstar)

The Telugu film Geetha Govindam can be considered a breakthrough film in Rashmika’s career. Directed by Parasuram, the film has Rashmika sharing the screen with Vijay Devarakonda. The film revolves around a young college lecturer who falls in love with a level-headed woman and tries his best to impress her. The film was a huge commercial success, and the songs by Gopi Sunder, especially Inkem Inkem, became an instant hit among fans.

Dear Comrade (SonyLiv)

The next film on this list is also a Vijay Deverakonda-Rashmika-led title, Dear Comrade. The Telugu film has Rashmika essaying the role of a state-level cricketer named Lily who falls for Bobby, a student union leader. However, Bobby’s brash and violent behavior pose a threat to their love story. The film is directed by Bharat Kamma.

Anjani Putra (Disney+ Hotstar)

Rashmika essays the role of a wealthy girl named Geetha in this Kannada remake of the Tamil film Poojai. The film revolves around Viraj, the heir to a cloth manufacturing company, who locks horns with a gangster who is after his business. The late Puneeth Rajkumar plays Viraj in the film which also stars Ramya Krishna, Mukesh Tiwari, P. Ravi Shankar and Chikkanna. The film features fast-paced action sequences and is helmed by A. Harsha.
