Dead Ringers - Prime Video
Loosely based on the 1988 David Cronenberg film of the same name starring Jeremy Irons, Dead Ringers is a Prime Video original psychological drama. The series stars Rachel Weisz in a dual role as identical twins Beverly and Elliot Mantle, who are gynaecologists determined to change the way women give birth. The series is created by Alice Birch, who is best known for serving as the writer for the acclaimed BBC romantic drama Normal People. The series will premiere on April 21st on Prime Video.
The Diplomat - Netflix
Created by Debora Cahn, who is credited with writing episodes of Homeland and Grey’s Anatomy, The Diplomat is one of the hottest Netflix original drama series of the week. The Americans star Keri Russell plays the lead role as Kate Wyler, a diplomat who is tasked with negotiating a high-profile international diplomacy issue that threatens international ties. She is dealing with her fragmented marriage with fellow diplomat Hal Wyler, played by Rufus Sewell. All eight episodes of the series will be available to stream on the 20th of April.
Indian Matchmaking S3 - Netflix
Simi Aunty and her reality TV series Indian Matchmaking is back for a third season. Hosted by the unfiltered matchmaker Sima Taparia, the show revolves around how Simi Aunty helps her clients find their soulmates. Sima aims to find life partners for Indian as well as Indian American singles using her extensive database of biodata and astrological charts. The new season which premieres on the 21st of April on Netflix will feature British Indians sizing up their marital prospects with a little help from Simi Aunty.
Chimp Empire - Netflix
Chimp Empire is a Netflix nature documentary series that explores the intriguing world of chimpanzees. It is the largest society of chimpanzees ever discovered, and the series explores the complex dynamics of these primates such as their social structure, family, and territory disputes. The series is narrated by Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali and will be available on Netflix from the 19th of April.
Tooth Pari: When Love Bites - Netflix
The Netflix original Hindi TV show is a horror comedy series set in Kolkata. The plot revolves around the rebellious vampire Rumi who falls in love with a soft-spoken dentist. Created by Pratim D. Gupta, the series stars Tanya Maniktala and Shantanu Maheshwari in lead roles. The series will premiere on Netflix on the 20th of April.
Ghosted - Apple TV+
Knives Out stars Ana de Armas and Chris Evans reunite for the Apple TV+ comedy action film Ghosted. Evans essays the role of a man named Cole who has fallen for the mysterious and Armas’ enigmatic Sadie after their first date. However, once Sadie fails to return any of his calls or texts, Cole decides to track her down for a second date, only to learn that she is a secret agent. He is inadvertently pulled into a globe-trotting mission to save the world. The film will be available to stream on Apple TV+ on the 21st of April.
