Tom Cruise returns as Captain Pete "Maverick" Mitchell to teach the US Navy. He will be seen teaching at the US Navy's Fighter Weapons School at Naval Air Station Miramar in San Diego, California.

The sequel to Tony Scott’s 1986 action classic, Top Gun: Maverick is about Pete encountering the son of his late friend, Nick “Goose” Bradshaw, with whom he used to train the Navy personnel, and what follows. Facing an uncertain future and confronting the ghosts of his past, Pete has to also overcome his deepest fears and lead the mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who will be chosen to fly it.

The makers have released a new trailer of the movie and it is sure to give you an adrenaline rush. The trailer opens with an introduction of the group of graduates and Cruise returning to the school to teach them. Tom Cruise as Captain Pete says, "I am not a teacher. I just want to manage the expectations," before he begins the training while his students wonder what new does he have to bring to the table. It follows with an airstrike and an intense battle. The trailer also shows the personnel paying respect to a martyr, leaving us wondering if it's Captain Pete.
